English Ramban is a complete answer to all your problems in English. Writing this book was always my dream, because all through my journey, from studying to teaching, I felt that students need a book in which everything is in simple language, explained logically, and above all authentic. I have often watched people memorise grammar rules, and I have watched how much they suffer in doing it. In English people are often confused about what is right and what is wrong, because some points in English have always been debatable. So in this book we have given references from authentic sources to show what is right and what is wrong. It took us a long time to write, because my whole team and I discussed every single Concept in it at length, and took references from the books of almost every major grammarian in the world. We analysed in detail the previous year questions of all the competitive exams in India, and of the 10th and 12th board exams, and only then prepared this book.
The Grammar and Comprehension parts of this book are highly relevant. Every major question type, such as Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test and Sentence Rearrangement, has been prepared after a lot of research, to match the pattern in which the exam actually asks it, and that is what makes this book complete in the true sense. How a chapter is arranged
The Introduction and the Foundation sit at the top, folded. Below them come the Concepts. Every concept has a short explanation, four closed dropdowns (How the Exam Asks It, Concept Box, Exam Traps), then Solved Examples, Practice (previous year questions) and New Pattern Practice. Tap a heading to open or close it.
सबसे ऊपर परिचय (Introduction) और नींव (Foundation) हैं, बंद करके रखे हुए। उनके नीचे Concepts हैं। हर Concept में छोटी व्याख्या है, चार बंद dropdowns (परीक्षा में कैसे पूछा जाता है, Concept Box, परीक्षा के जाल), फिर हल किए उदाहरण, अभ्यास (पिछले वर्षों के प्रश्न) और नए पैटर्न का अभ्यास। किसी heading पर tap कीजिए, वह खुल जाएगी या बंद हो जाएगी।
Reading a concept
A green ✔ row is a correct sentence and a red ✘ row is a wrong one, with the correction beside it. The coloured strips split a sentence into its parts: S is the subject, V the verb, O the object, and so on. Tap the ? beside a strip to see what each colour means. Tense timelines show where an action sits between past, now and future.
हरी ✔ वाली पंक्ति सही वाक्य है और लाल ✘ वाली पंक्ति गलत वाक्य, उसके साथ सुधार भी लिखा है। रंगीन पट्टियाँ वाक्य को उसके हिस्सों में बाँटती हैं: S यानी कर्ता (Subject), V यानी क्रिया (Verb), O यानी कर्म (Object), आदि। पट्टी के पास ? दबाइए तो हर रंग का अर्थ दिख जाएगा। Tense (काल) की timelines दिखाती हैं कि क्रिया भूत, अभी और भविष्य के बीच कहाँ आती है।
Answering a question
Think of your own answer first. Tap an option and the book tells you at once whether you are right. Or tap Show answer, and then Show explanation. The explanation never opens by itself.
पहले अपना उत्तर सोचिए। विकल्प पर tap कीजिए, किताब तुरंत बता देगी कि उत्तर सही है या नहीं। या 'उत्तर देखिए' दबाइए, और उसके बाद 'व्याख्या देखिए'। व्याख्या अपने-आप कभी नहीं खुलती।
Mark a concept complete
Use the Mark as complete button at the top or at the bottom of a concept. Its chip in the bar above turns green with a ✓.
Concept के ऊपर या नीचे दिया Mark as complete बटन दबाइए। ऊपर की पट्टी में उसकी chip हरी हो जाएगी और ✓ लग जाएगा।
My Note
Under every concept there is a My Note strip. Write the concept in your own words. It saves on its own, and My Desk lists all your notes.
हर Concept के नीचे 'मेरा Note' की पट्टी है। Concept को अपने शब्दों में लिखिए। Note अपने-आप save होता है और My Desk में सारे notes मिल जाते हैं।
Revision of mistakes
A question you get wrong goes to the Revision Studio and comes back after 1, 3, 7, 15 and 30 days. The revision cards, built from each chapter's last-minute points, work the same way.
जो प्रश्न गलत होता है, वह Revision Studio में चला जाता है और 1, 3, 7, 15 और 30 दिन बाद फिर आता है। हर अध्याय के last-minute points से बने revision cards भी ऐसे ही चलते हैं।
Lab, tests and the English Mock
The English Lab gives practice that follows your answers: it brings back your weak concepts. In the Practice Zone you can take a test on a chapter or a concept, or a full English Mock that follows the English section of the exam you pick (SSC CGL, CHSL, CPO, MTS and others): its number of questions, marks and negative marking. Every paper is put together afresh from the book. The clock is only a guide, and the result shows which chapters and question types need work.

Concept Book में हर अध्याय की मुख्य पंक्तियाँ कुछ ही पृष्ठों में मिल जाती हैं। किसी पंक्ति पर ☆ दबाइए तो वह My Concepts में रखी जाएगी। Home पर रोज़ एक Concept दिखता है।
English, Hinglish or Hindi
The language button at the top switches between English, Hinglish (Hindi with the grammar terms in English) and full Hindi. You stay at the same place on the page. English example sentences and exam questions stay in English in all three.
ऊपर दिया भाषा का बटन English, Hinglish (हिंदी, पर व्याकरण के शब्द English में) और पूरी हिंदी के बीच बदलता है। आप पृष्ठ पर जहाँ हैं, वहीं रहेंगे। English के उदाहरण-वाक्य और परीक्षा के प्रश्न तीनों में English में ही रहते हैं।
