SSC CGL25 Sep 2024Shift 3Paper Folding and Cutting
A piece of paper is folded as shown and holes are punched in the folded paper. Select the option that shows how the paper will look when it is unfolded.

उत्तर (a) है।
The paper is folded left (vertical fold) and then downwards (horizontal fold), so the folded piece is the bottom-left quarter, with a small square near its top-right corner and an oval near its bottom-left corner.
Opening the paper reflects each hole in the horizontal fold line and then in the vertical fold line, so every hole appears four times.
The four small squares gather in a 2 × 2 cluster around the centre of the paper, because the square was near the corner that sits at the centre.
The four ovals appear near the four corners of the paper, because the oval was near the outer corner of the quarter.
Only option (a) shows a 2 × 2 block of squares in the centre and an oval in each corner.
