कागज़ दो बार मोड़ा गया है (पहले नीचे का आधा भाग ऊपर, फिर दायाँ आधा भाग बाएँ पर), इसलिए cut ऊपर-बाएँ quarter में है और उसका लहरदार किनारा नीचे की ओर है।
दूसरा fold खोलने पर cut की mirror copy दाईं ओर बनती है, और उसका लहरदार किनारा भी नीचे ही रहता है: ऊपरी आधे भाग में दो cuts।

The paper is folded twice (bottom half up, then right half over left), so the cut lies in the top-left quarter, with the wavy edge at its bottom.
Opening the second fold gives a mirror copy to the right of the cut, still with the wavy edge at the bottom: two cuts in the top half.
Opening the first fold reflects both cuts across the horizontal crease, so in the bottom half the wavy edge turns to the top.
So there are four cuts: two with the wavy edge down in the top row, and two with the wavy edge up in the bottom row.
