Make up = अपने मन से कुछ खड़ा कर लेना, यानी invent करना। दूसरा sense: break up का antonym make up, यानी झगड़े के बाद सुलह कर लेना।
Make up first means to build something up from your own mind, that is, to invent a story. Its second sense is the opposite of a break-up: after a quarrel, two friends make up and reconcile.
Object में mind दिखे तो verb हमेशा make up होगा (make up your mind); make out के साथ mind नहीं आता। Invent, fabricate और reconcile इसके synonym हैं।
