Answer: (C) Within six months
अनुच्छेद 6 (Article 6)2 के अनुसार राष्ट्रपति (President) के पद में मृत्यु, त्यागपत्र या पदच्युति के कारण रिक्ति होने पर उसे भरने के लिए चुनाव (election) रिक्ति की तिथि से छह माह के भीतर कराया जाना आवश्यक है। नव निर्वाचित राष्ट्रपति पूरे पाँच वर्ष की अवधि के लिए पद ग्रहण करता है।
रिक्ति की अवधि में उपराष्ट्रपति राष्ट्रपति के रूप में कार्य करता है (अनुच्छेद 65)।
राष्ट्रपति पर महाभियोग (impeachment) की प्रक्रिया अनुच्छेद (Article) 61 में है।
कार्यकाल समाप्त होने पर चुनाव अवधि समाप्त होने से पहले कराना आवश्यक है।
According to Article 62, when the office of the President falls vacant due to death, resignation or removal, the election to fill the vacancy must be held within six months from the date of the vacancy. The newly elected President holds office for the full term of five years.
During the vacancy, the Vice-President acts as President (Article 65).
The procedure for the impeachment of the President is in Article 61.
On the expiry of the term, the election must be completed before the expiry of the term.
