Which gas law explains the increase in the volume of a flexible balloon when it is heated at nearly constant pressure?

ExplanationAnswer and explanation

Answer: (A) Charles's Law

At constant pressure, the volume of a gas is directly proportional to its absolute temperature. This is why the volume of a flexible balloon increases when it is heated.
This is Charles's law.
Boyle's law: at constant temperature the volume of a gas is inversely proportional to the pressure.
Avogadro's law: at the same temperature and pressure, equal volumes of gases contain an equal number of molecules.
Dalton's law: the total pressure of a mixture of gases is equal to the sum of their partial pressures.
