Answer: (D) Declaring a Financial Emergency under Article 360 on the advice of the Cabinet
भारत की वित्तीय स्थिरता (financial stability) या साख संकट में होने पर राष्ट्रपति (President) अनुच्छेद 360 (Article 360) के अंतर्गत मंत्रिमंडल (cabinet) की सलाह पर वित्तीय आपातकाल (Financial Emergency) घोषित कर सकते हैं।
इस घोषणा को दो माह के भीतर संसद (Parliament) के दोनों सदनों से अनुमोदन मिलना आवश्यक है।
अब तक भारत में वित्तीय आपातकाल कभी घोषित नहीं हुआ।
इस दौरान राष्ट्रपति राज्यों को वित्तीय औचित्य के निर्देश दे सकते हैं और कर्मचारियों के वेतन घटाने के निर्देश भी दे सकते हैं।
When the financial stability or credit of India is threatened, the President may, on the advice of the Cabinet, declare a Financial Emergency under Article 360.
The proclamation must be approved by both Houses of Parliament within two months.
Till now, a Financial Emergency has never been declared in India.
During it, the President can issue directions to the States to observe canons of financial propriety and can also direct the reduction of salaries of government employees.
