What did Dalton say about the atoms of the same element?
ExplanationAnswer and explanation
Answer: (B) They are identical in mass and other properties.
According to Dalton's atomic theory, all atoms of the same element are identical in mass and other properties. Atoms of different elements have different masses and properties.
According to Dalton, atoms are indivisible and can neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction.
Atoms combine in simple whole-number ratios to form compounds.
Later, the discovery of isotopes modified the statement that atoms of the same element are identical in mass.
