जिसे पढ़ सकें वह legible, जिसे न पढ़ सकें वह illegible। Eligible अलग शब्द है; उसमें शुरू में e है और अर्थ है पात्र, पढ़ने से उसका कोई लेना-देना नहीं।
Writing you can read is legible; writing you cannot read is illegible. Do not mix it up with eligible, which begins with 'e' and means qualified, with nothing to do with reading.
