In (नहीं) + effective। Effective का रिश्ता effect यानी असर से है। जिस दवा का कोई effect न हो, वह ineffective है; इच्छित नतीजा नहीं देती।
In (not) + effective. Effective is linked to effect, the result. A medicine that gives no effect is ineffective: it does not produce the intended result.
