Honorary = honour + free — सिर्फ़ सम्मान के लिए, बिना पैसे का काम। ‘Honour के लिए free में किया गया काम’, जैसे honorary member।
Honorary = honour + free: work done only for the honour, without any pay. His line: ‘honour ke liye free mein kiya gaya kaam’, like an honorary member or honorary secretary.
शुरू का ‘h’ silent है, और British spelling में भी honorary में ‘u’ नहीं आता (H-O-N-O-R-A-R-Y)। इसे honourable (सम्मानीय) के सामने रखा जाता है।
The opening ‘h’ is silent, and even in British spelling honorary has no ‘u’ (H-O-N-O-R-A-R-Y). It is often set against honourable (deserving respect).
