पुराने समय में bed घास-फूस (hay) से भरे बोरे (sack) होते थे। Sack या hay पर गिरे यानी बिस्तर पर लेटे और सो गए।
Long ago, beds were sacks stuffed with hay (dry grass). When you 'hit' the sack or the hay, you lie down on your bed and go to sleep.
Exam note
