FANCY is a shortened form of FANTASY, so it keeps the idea of imagination: a fancy is a liking or an idea you imagine. As an adjective it means decorative, the opposite of plain.
सनक वाले अर्थ में synonym whim, caprice, notion; सजावटी अर्थ में antonym plain, simple। 'Take a fancy to' यानी पसंद आ जाना।
