COMPARABLE comes from compare (drop the e, add -able): two things similar enough to be compared are comparable. Add in- and you get incomparable, so unique that nothing can be compared with it.
Comparable is often a spelling item (it ends in -able) and its antonyms incomparable and dissimilar appear as options; note the stress falls on COM.
