Brunt यानी हमले का सबसे तेज़ हिस्सा, जो सबसे पहले पड़ता है। गुस्सा किसी पर तो निकलेगा; जो उसका पूरा impact सहता है, वही bears the brunt of it।
The 'brunt' is the strongest force of an attack, the part that hits first. When someone is angry, that anger falls on somebody; the one who takes its full impact 'bears the brunt of' it.
इसका अर्थ है किसी बुरी चीज़ का सबसे ज़्यादा असर झेलना। 'Bear the main impact' और 'take the full force' सही हैं; 'escape unscathed' (बिना नुकसान बच निकलना) इसका opposite है।
It means to suffer the worst part of something unpleasant. 'Bear the main impact' and 'take the full force' are correct; 'escape unscathed' (escape unharmed) is the opposite.
