शहर के ऊपर से पक्षी या drone उड़े तो गली की सुई या कंकड़ नहीं, बस बड़ी buildings दिखेंगी। यानी detail नहीं, ऊपरी नज़र। English का cursory = Hindi का सरसरी, दोनों एक ही।
A bird or a drone flying over a city sees only the big buildings, never a needle or a pebble in the lane. So a bird's eye view is a view from above, a quick overall look without detail. 'Cursory' in English is 'sarsari' in Hindi.
दोनों sense पूछे जाते हैं: aerial view और cursory look। Panorama इसका करीबी synonym है, जबकि close-up और ins and outs (बारीकियाँ) उल्टे हैं।
Both senses are tested: an aerial view and a cursory look. 'Panorama' is a close synonym, while 'close-up' and 'ins and outs' (fine details) are opposites.
