सिदो और कान्हू मुर्मू के नेतृत्व में 1855-56 में हुआ दामिन-ए-कोह क्षेत्र का आदिवासी विद्रोह संथाल विद्रोह (Santhal Rebellion) था। यह विद्रोह साहूकारों, ज़मींदारों और ब्रिटिश औपनिवेशिक (colonial) शोषण (exploitation) के विरुद्ध था और इसे 'हूल' भी कहा जाता है।
सिदो-कान्हू के साथ चाँद और भैरव भी इस विद्रोह के नेता थे।
संथाल विद्रोह के परिणामस्वरूप संथाल परगना ज़िले का निर्माण हुआ।
'हूल दिवस' प्रतिवर्ष 30 जून को मनाया जाता है।
The tribal uprising in the Damin-i-Koh region in 1855–56, led by Sidhu and Kanhu Murmu, was the Santhal Rebellion. It was directed against moneylenders, zamindars and British colonial exploitation, and it is also called the 'Hul'.
Chand and Bhairav were also leaders of the rebellion along with Sidhu and Kanhu.
As a result of the Santhal rebellion, the Santhal Parganas district was created.
'Hul Diwas' is observed every year on 30 June.
