मानचित्र पर भारत की मुख्य भूमि को सात पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों से जोड़ने वाला भौगोलिक भूमि-सेतु पश्चिम बंगाल (West Bengal) है। उत्तरी पश्चिम बंगाल का संकरा गलियारा सिलीगुड़ी गलियारा या 'चिकन नेक' कहलाता है।
यह गलियारा लगभग 20–22 किलोमीटर चौड़ा है और नेपाल, भूटान तथा बांग्लादेश के बीच स्थित है।
इसे रणनीतिक रूप से अत्यंत संवेदनशील क्षेत्र माना जाता है।

The geographical land bridge that connects the mainland of India to the seven north-eastern states, on a map, is West Bengal. The narrow corridor in northern West Bengal is called the Siliguri Corridor or 'Chicken's Neck'.
This corridor is about 20 to 22 kilometres wide and lies between Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
