रजिया सुल्तान दिल्ली सल्तनत (Delhi Sultanate) की पहली और एकमात्र मुस्लिम महिला शासक थीं। वह गुलाम वंश के अंतर्गत आती थीं और इल्तुतमिश की बेटी थीं। इल्तुतमिश ने अपने जीवनकाल में ही उन्हें उत्तराधिकारी घोषित कर दिया था, लेकिन उनकी मृत्यु के बाद रईसों ने उनके भाई रुक्नुद्दीन फिरोज को सुल्तान बना दिया। बाद में रजिया ने विद्रोह कर 1236 ई. में गद्दी संभाली। उन्होंने पुरुषों की तरह कपड़े पहने और सार्वजनिक (public) रूप से दरबार लगाया। उनके शासनकाल में प्रशासनिक सुधार हुए, लेकिन अमीरों और तुर्की दरबारियों के विरोध के कारण वह अधिक समय तक शासन नहीं कर सकीं। 1240 ई. में उनकी हत्या कर दी गई।
Razia Sultana was the first and only female Muslim ruler of the Delhi Sultanate. She belonged to the Slave Dynasty and was the daughter of Iltutmish. Iltutmish had declared her as his successor during his lifetime, but after his death, the nobles placed her brother Ruknuddin Firuz on the throne. Later, Razia led a rebellion and ascended the throne in 1236 AD. She dressed like a man and held public court. Her reign saw administrative reforms, but due to opposition from the Turkish nobles and amirs, she could not rule for long. She was assassinated in 1240 AD.
