Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2026 (RB-IOS, 2026) 1 जुलाई 2026 से प्रभावी हुई। यह 2021 की एकीकृत लोकपाल योजना का स्थान लेती है।
नई योजना में वित्तीय हानि के लिए अधिकतम क्षतिपूर्ति सीमा ₹20 लाख से बढ़ाकर ₹30 लाख की गई है।
इसमें बैंकों और NBFC के साथ भुगतान प्रणाली प्रतिभागी, PPI जारीकर्ता और क्रे डिट इन्फॉर्मेशन कंपनियाँ भी स्पष्ट रूप से सम्मिलित हैं।
2021 की योजना में तीन पूर्व योजनाओं (बैंकिंग लोकपाल, NBFC लोकपाल, डिजिटल लेनदेन लोकपाल) को मिलाया गया था।
The Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2026 (RB-IOS, 2026) came into effect from 1 July 2026. It replaces the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme of 2021.
In the new scheme, the maximum compensation limit for financial loss has been raised from ₹20 lakh to ₹30 lakh.
It explicitly includes, along with banks and NBFCs, payment system participants, PPI issuers and credit information companies.
The 2021 scheme had merged three earlier schemes: the Banking Ombudsman, the NBFC Ombudsman and the Digital Transactions Ombudsman.
